I have purchased this device after having purchased the X-Gen x2 monocular, this monocular is the 'pro' version and comes with a huge aperture of 42mm, and runs on 4 AA batteries giving it a much improved operating time, overall the device was much larger than the xGen x2 and heavier too, it too suffered from a very small field of view and very bright LCD which spoils the eye night vision, however for a digital device it has phenomenal sensitivity comparable to Gen1++, after installing a green filter on the eyepiece i am really happy with this device.
One annoying problem is you cannot turn off the IR, and be hidden at night.
Pros: very sensitive, huge optical aperture, clear image
Cons: small field of view, bright LCD, cannot turn IR off, visible at night.
