i used these binos for a year in afghanistan and they performed flawlessly. lens wear is minimal even in constant sand and wind. weather resistence was not an issue. the quality of construction is bomb proof. literally. the only thing i ask nikon to change is the color. while black is fine for most, those of us in military occupations could use an OD green or Coyote brown. i had to spray paint mine and luckily i sealed of the objective and occular lenses well enough that no overspray occured. great product, dont hesitate.

Pros:  lighweight, great feel and quality
Cons:  no covers for lens, only eye pieces

The quality from Nikon is fantastic and the focus system is very easy to use. These binos fit in the hand quite well but if you have large hand you may lose them in there.
