I tried a number of inexpensive compact binoculars and these are by far the best value. They are lightweight, easy to focus, and have a great view. Forget what Consumer Reports said about the Olympus 8 x 21, while these are somewhat larger, they are much superior optically. I also tried models by Pentax and these are still better.
I also have a pair of Nikon 10 x 25 Premier binoculars which cost 5 times as much. The Premiers are more compact and waterproof, but the Travelite is not too far behind optically and easier to focus.
Pros: Price, optics, weight, comfort in hand, decent case
Cons: A little large to fit in a cargo pocket, belt loop on case a little small...
