Very Poorly build job

I bought two pairs of these. Both pairs, the eye peice broke off. They did not even last one hunting season. Nikon will not warranty them. Very poorly manufactured and thier customer care line is a bunch of bull. I threw both pairs in the garbage. There will never be another Nikon in my home or truck.
Cons: Cheap Eye Peices...

This is my first pair of 'nicer low to mid-range priced binoculars. For me these are lightyears ahead of bargain brands. I've used them to glass surrounding hillsides from up close to as far possible and from full sun to very low light conditions. The clarity and detail is outstanding. Focus is very smooth and natural. Adjustable eyecups help with fatigue I think. In a word the view is 'awesome' The only drawback I see is with the silly ocular lense cap included. I seriously don't know what they were thinking with this..It's a one piece design that is much too large for the eyecups. The only way they'll manage to stay at all is if you sqeeze the two halves of the binocular together, pinching the cover in the middle with a slight friction fit. I'll have to try to rig up some rubber bands or something keep the cover with the binoculars, otherwise it'll be lost immediately. I got camo mostly because I thought it was kinda cool..but the lense covers are black, not camo, as is the carry case..for hunting I'd want to add a chest strap too. Overall though..excellent and I would recommend!
Pros: Solid feel, very clear, good depth of field, easy focus
Cons: The ocular lense cap is silly and practically useless as designed....

Easy to carry all day esp. in the woods. Sharp and distinguishes variew colors. Dielectic multilayer coating makes this a special bino for hunting, waterproof and fogproof. For the price I can't see any other bino beating this Nikon.
Pros: Camo, light, sharp & contrasty, Good view at dawn and dusk. Close focus for 12 power ,25 year warranty, Nikon name & quality glass with special coatings for brighter images
Cons: None as far as I can see...

Nikon has continued to produce another great bino as they have in the past and now in the future. I own several Nikon's including three EDG bino. I have never been disappointed with there binos. More over as an amatuer photographer I have owned almost ever camera since the 1960's with the F and now own the D700 digital. All my lenses are Nikon. In my opinion overall they are the best in sport optics.Leica is also great but very expensive. Nikon has produced the best 24mm f1.4 af lens on the market. Cant say enough about their products especially their binos.
Pros: Dielectric coating gives sharp, contrasty view, good in low light at dawn and dusk, Quick focusing, Long eye relief, close focusing for the power, Overall a great pair of camo bino by Nikon with 25 year warranty, rugged, great feel in the outdoors, don't have to worry about rain or fog.
Cons: None as far as I can see...
