Great scope!

by chris0bona, from United States, CA Written on February 1, 2015
This is my second nikon scope, and I love both. Very easy to zero and it holds zero. Vision is very clear, and for the money it's hard to find anything better. It's not my dream scope, but I could buy a lot of ammo or another rifle for the price of the high end scopes. This one does its job and does it well, no regrets buying this scope at all!...

Excellent for the Money

by Mike C, from United States, FL Written on January 19, 2015
This scope is a very good value for the money. I'm going to use it for one of my hog rifles where the shots are 50 yards or less. The dot at the center of the cross hairs is a little big for my taste but perfect for the above. The clarity is very good and the eye relief is typical of this style scope....

Excellent performing 1-4, love the Point Blank reticle

by Scott, from United States, TN Written on December 30, 2014
Got this for Christmas. Took a shot at the Point Blank reticle as it was on sale (very significant savings) and am very glad I did. The glass is super clear, eye relief is great and it works great with both eyes open all the way from 1x to 4x magnification. Truly acts like a red dot at 1x. Still super quick to acquire at full magnification. I love the simplicity of the point blank reticle. Just point and shoot at any target out to 200 yards with great consistency. I do not shoot any further than that at the range (typically between 50 and 100), so it is perfect for my application. The reticle is very crisp and works well for both close quarters and the shots out to 200.

I also like how the turrets work for setting zero. Out of the box the windage was dead on when mounted to my rail. First shot was on the paper, elevation dialed in with a couple verifying shots by the tenth round. Pull up the turret, dial to zero and drop it back down. All set.

Great scope, highly recommended....
Pros:
  • Clarity
  • Construction
  • simplicity
  • point blank reticle
Cons:

Great Budget 3 Gun Scope

by slightly tactical, from United States, IL Written on September 16, 2014
I was looking at a few different scopes to go on my 18" AR built for 3 gun. In the end I chose this m223 because of how useful the bdc reticle is for quickly figuring out holdovers on long range flasher targets. Ive had this thing in and out of barrels and its held up perfectly. If you're not ready to spend $600+ on a rifle optic for 3 gun, this is the ticket right here....

Perfect AR Scope!

by HuskerHunter11, from United States, NE Written on September 15, 2014
I bought this scope for my new AR build and could not be happier with my decision. I am a huge fan of the 1-4x magnification field, as it offers the best of both worlds. At 1x, this can be used very much like you would a red dot, however when my 3-gun matches call for longer targets, I can quickly and easily crank it up to 3-4x to make sure I'm hitting the mark.

I purchased the version that came with Nikon's XR mount. Also a quality piece - made things super easy to mount and zero in....
Pros:
  • Price
  • Large Adjustment Turrets
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Target shooting
  • AR
  • Competition Shooting

Best deal in a long while!!!

by Kill Shot, from United States, FL Written on August 29, 2014
Up until recently I've been hunting wild boars with a compound bow. I just purchased a M&P AR 15 Sport in 223. Didn't really have the funds for a 308. The iron sights worked great but it was still missing the confidence of seeing you target clearly. After researching other brands this scope was the obvious winner and Optics Planet helped me save over a $100's compared to buying it locally. I'm putting less than two inch groups at a hundred yards with American eagle 55gr 223 ammo with this scope. Now I can deliver an ethical shot on a wild boar with my new scope. THANKS OPTICS PLANET!!...
