I have mounted this scope on a ruger mk ii safari in 458 lott. this rifle generates impressive recoil but the nikon dangerous game scope seems up to the task. only time will tell about durability, however nikons lifetime warrenty should cover any future problems. excellent scope for the money. I am well satisfied.
