"Spray", Please contact me. I like mine.

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, FL Written on February 7, 2014
You need to learn & know the POI at the different subtensions based on velocity of ammo & distance. It is not as "cut & dried" as "Spot On" would have you think. It's one thing on paper (in a computer), it's another in reality. You will burn a bunch of ammo getting oriented with it.

"Spray", I'm sorry you are so disatisfatied with this purchase. I obviously have one too and I'm quite happy with it. I'd love to buy yours from you for another rifle. What would you take for it?

eight-five-zero, four-five-zero, one-six-six-eight

Thanks
Pros: Cleaner reticle design than other brands with a Super/Sub 300BLK reticle.
Cons: Wish it was First Focal Plane so the reticle would get larger with zoom....

blurry, dark, drop markings are worthless

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, AZ Written on January 11, 2014
The scope is dark and blurry, but not for the money. That isn't why I'm giving it a 3 instead of a 5.

The drop markings are worthless. Nikon's spot-on is spot-off. At the right magnification and right speed with the right bullet and all that, the point of impact is nowhere near what it says it should be with this scope or the 22 one I bought. I have a third one one on my 44 magnum rifle, and so far I've been regretting them all, but this one the most. If you're looking for a cheap scope, go ahead and grab a Nikon. But don't bet on the drop markings being useful at all....

High Value, Low Cost

This reticle, in conjunction with the free database balistic interpretations for all loads, is a great solution for the challenge of using subsonic and supersonic ammo with the same scope.
Pros: Great reticle for the 300 Blackout
Cons: 1 inch tube...

This is the second on I have bought and have many of the M223 family.
Pros: It is designed for the cartridge. The knobs are able to zero without removing. Very good optics. Clicks are accurate and positive.

Nikon 300 blk

Can't get much better than a scope made specifically for the rifle you shoot. Don't get it if you don't have a 300 blackout. The spot on website lets you dial in the measurements for the cartridge you are using. I wish the iPhone app was free because I'm just that cheap. It would be nice if it had illumination, but it was worth the trade off. Mil dot measurements are accurate at the highest magnification, which works well for me since I plan on hunting with it at that mag anyway.
Pros: Made for my rifle.
Cons: No illumination...

Great glass for the money. Could be perfect in my option if the circle was larger and the center crosshairs were smaller. Too much happening for a clear view of the bullseye.
Pros: Price and clarity
Cons: Reticle is too think...

Good Scope for 300 Blackout

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on May 3, 2013
This is a high quality scope, as you expect from Nikon. My only regret is that has only one graduation for both super/sub, and you need to remember their relationship when using it. Perhaps I am not used to it. It might be that this feature is the strongest feature once I get use to it.
Pros: excellent quality
Cons: a double reticle with the super/sub individually...
