Very clear optics... perfect for my 10/22 plinker. I purchased this scope mainly because of the available rebate, but after using it, I would have been pleased had I paid full price.

Optics are clear and bright. Can't go wrong for the money. I replaced a Weaver 2.5 x 7 x 28 with this Nikon. The Nikon is better and less expensive.

I first purchase this particular scope about 1 month ago and mounted it on a Marlin 795. I was very satisfied. Then I ordered a CZ 452 rimfire and was again in the market for a rimfire scope. I decided to try the Leupold VX-1 2-7x28, figuring you get what you pay for. I brought it home, compared it with my Nikon, and was absolutely shocked. The Nikon was FAR SUPERIOR in terms of clarity and brightness. I couldn't return the Leupold fast enough. Today i purchased another Nikon rimfire 4x32 and will be mounting it on my CZ when it arrives next week. Do not sell this scope short because it's a bargain. It is one quality optic!

I took a chance on this Nikon and I am pleased I did. The adjustments are simply excellent. Each click can be heard and felt and is easily done with fingers only. Once I found my zero I simply raised the adjuster up, spun it to the zero setting and pushed down. On a windy day with long shots, the Nikon makes shot placement adjustments easy and makes difficult shots fun while never worrying about losing the original zero. The scope is handsome, sized right for a 22 semi auto, clear and bright. Focus is on the back eyepiece and was easy to adjust and secure. My only complaint with this scope is minor. The adjustment covers are plastic. They are strong but I would prefer metal. The scope comes with rubber lens covers. Bottom line for me is that this scope gave me excellence for a modest price.
