Purchased April 2012 for the Nikon Prostaff 5 laser rangefinder. The new Prostaff 5 has a new smaller design (10 percent reduction in size), and now is a littler to small for this case. The buttons do not line up with the holes on the cover. Although, for the price, I'm willing to make it work to protect my investment. This cover is a great value to protect your investment in a quality laser rangefinder. I've used the nikon prostaff 5 with the cover for Golf and Hunting and Target Practice and it has performed flawlessly.

Pros: Camo, Good protection, Better Lanyard, Easy to use without removing the rangefinder from the case, Good value.
Would recommend: yes

Tight squeeze to fit rangefinder in case, but this is good, as it holds the rangefinder well. The front flap/cover was a little tricky to slide into place at first, as it needed to get the sides aligned correctly so that the magnet in the cover aligned with the magnet/disk in the case body. The cover stays in place and is easy to open and quiet (no snap). It is easy to operate the rangefinder with the case attached and changing batteries would be easy also. The lanyard that comes with this case is much better strength/quality and can be more readily adjusted than the original lanyard that came with the rangefinder. Overall it looks to give my new Riflehunter 1000 rangefinder good protection and is camoflaged also, which is better than the original provided case.

Pros: Excellent protective case, convenient carry
Cons: Still need to find one
Would recommend: yes

The RifleHunter Case is a very good option to extend the RifleHunter rangefinder. It is easy to carry the rangefinder with the attached strap. It slings conveniently across the body and allows for silent use, with the magnetic lens cover. Buttons are easy to access.
I keep my rangefinder in this case by default, not in the provided carry case. I'd rather only buy this, than the tether, but the tether has a place and is a good product in itself.

Pros: Pouch sits very tightly on the body rangefinder. Included is a belt around his neck.
Cons: In a case rangefinder is easier to dislodge from the hand.
Would recommend: yes

The cover is attached to a fastener, button and magnet. If you are using a range finder, cover rests only on the "button" and may be lost - completely remove the cover better.
I think that this case does not need to buy - just included with the cover (it also comes with a strap on the shoulder or neck). Keep hands nicer rangefinder without the cover.
