I installed it on my JC Higgin model 30 .22 rifle. I can shoot very tight groups. The optics are good in any weather and easy to bring on target. I love tnis scope. I bought a similar one for my 30-30.

I mounted this on my 10/22. This scope is excellent. It is very clear and bright. The BDC 150 reticle is great. Not perfect, but very close. The slight inaccuracies are most likely due to variations in ammo and weather. The circles are great for fast acquisitions. Adjustments are easy, positive clicks, and accurate. I love that it resets to zero. I had a BSA and Simmons mounted before, and all my future scopes will now be Nikon.

I bought this scope to replace a BSA 3-12X40 on my 10/22 match rifle that I use for Smallbore Silhouette shooting. I was impressed with the clarity and brightness of the scope, and I liked the BDC reticle. However, even after setting up the BDC, I found that it wasn't quite exact enough for exact ranges. The stages in Smallbore Silhouette matches are 40, 50, 75, and 100 yards. At 40 and 50 yards, the Nikon was great. At 75 yards, two problems came up. One, the 9x magnification wasn't quite enough to give a good sight picture on turkeys at 75 yds. The BDC circles weren't spot on for the ranges, but I knew that from the website to set them up. However, using a bit of holdover (AKA kentucky windage) didn't work out too well on turkeys and rams. The half MOA click stops were also a bit too gross of an adjustment for precise target shooting at longer ranges with a .22LR. But the adjustments were crisp and easy to make. I'm absolutely sure that this scope would be great for small game hunting ...

put it on my kimber .22. I should have done it years ago. if used with the Nikon Spoton system I found it very hard to miss anything out to around 125 yrds . My 15 year old daughter loves it and will be using it in competitions.Which means that I might have a hard time getting my favourite rifle back.
