About the best scope for the money for your .22 LR. The glass is very clear and the scope is easy to setup. I access the bullet database from my smartphone which is very useful. You won't be disappointed.

Pros:  Crystal clear, well built & solid, value per dollar
Would recommend:  yes

This is my 3rd Nikon scope in 6 mos. Optical clarity is outstanding, well-made and solid, great value for the money. Small game has no hope when this scope combined with range finder. Similar to mil-dot, but the rings here are much larger than the dots. I guessed the range several times & it was still one shot kills.

Pros:  22lr BDC
Cons:  22lr BDC
Would recommend:  yes

This appears to be very well built in the Philippines scope. Two piece tube. fit and finish is good, the target knobs under the plastic caps were a pleasant suprise...very positive and tactile. The glass is bright and clear at all magnification levels. The focus and magnification selector rings are rubberized (not a feature I particularly care for, as a good number of years will eventually degrade). Still, I remark that the product is high "value/quality". This is my first Nikon scope, my first BDC scope, and for that matter; a scope that costs less than the rings and base to install it. I use several of the finest manufactures top end products and made this purchase with no reservations, soley to evaluate the functionality of a BDC hunting reticle extensivly (thus the rimfire model). Although the inheriant variables associated with rimfire are many, this scope performs as advertised and better than expected. Using an 18" 22lr barreled host firing both cci cphp mini-mags, winchester ...

Works great on the 1981 .22 Marlin Model 60. Planning on purchasing a 2nd for the .22 Weatherby Mark XXII. The Reticle feels a little visually clutered with the circles, but they serve their purpose just fine.

Bought the Nikon ProStaff Rimfire 3-9x40mm Riflescope, Matte w/ BDC 150 Reticle for my Marlin 917 VS rimfire rifle. Sight at 50 y. Super accurate. Hunt for a season 5 trips. Great results and disappointed ones. Currently own many scopes. Nikon Prostaff 2007 model. Nikon monarch BCD 2008, Leupold VX II 2005. Bushnell banner 2005. Will compare roughly to these. This scope is bright, sharp, great resolution and very natural in color, easily matches the monarch. It has a very thin lines and BCD circles, thinner than any other reticle I ever have or checked at the store!! great for small game or varmint. It's turrets design is good. Hand turn with positive click. Can be easily re-zero. This feature make them big and tall with plastic covers. I like the low profile of the old prostaff and Leupold. Focus and zoom rings are just right like all others. Zoom numbers face the wrong side like many others. Looks like 2 piece tube. Don't like the rubber zoom ring for long lasting. Others metal rings ...
