Most Helpful Positive Review Great scope, but had trouble.

Great Scope

If you are looking for a nice scope without breaking the bank, this is it. This scope is a great value and works great for plinking. The BDC recticle helps if you want to take those longer shots. Overall, great value....

3x9-40 prostaff scope. 150bdc

by Elts, from Australia, WA Written on August 30, 2014
Good quality scope, Good price. Currently being used on a Bruno Mod2. with Powerpoint 1250fps ammo. So the Shots are not lining up with the BDC marks. Will try it out next month with 1600fps ammo as stated on the scope paperwork and see if the shots line up out to 75m 100m 125m and the 150m mark. Fingers crossed....
Pros:
  • good price
Cons:
  • bdc not set up for 1250fps ammo only set up for 1600fps ammo so limite to 1600fps ammo if you want to use the bdc marks.

Rimfire scope

by Ray, from United States, CA Written on August 29, 2014
The Nikon Rimfire scope is excellent. It was easy to mount and zero on my rifle. The mounting rings that came with scope were too short for me so I ordered a taller set and they work much better.
The scope and the service of Optics Planet were right on target....

Top Quality Scope

by Jim S, from United States, GA Written on August 29, 2014
I mounted this scope on my Marlin 60 and have had it to the range several times.
The optics are clear and bright, as you would expect from nikon. Eye relief is good. Holds it's zero well.
The BDC reticle is very helpful....

Awesome scope

by Brian, from United States, FL Written on August 29, 2014
Mounted it to a ruger 10/22. Nothing bad to say about it. Love the BDC reticle. I purchased tactical rings with a weaver rail. Also purchase the wheelers scope mounting kit. First time with a scope, first time mounting it and it was easy breezy. Holds it's zero....

Great Scope

by Mac, from United States, CA Written on August 26, 2014
I bought this scope to replace a broken scope on my Ruger 10-22. My rifle has a bull barrel, trigger job and custom stock. With this scope you can drop 10 rounds into a 1 1/2 inch group at 100 yds. Very clear optics. Get one you will like it....

  • Clear optics

Nikon ProStaff Rimfire 3-9x40mm Riflescope

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on June 2, 2014
The optics are bright with positive click turrets, and the BDC 150 reticle is accurate at the prescribed distances.
Image is very sharp around the 50yrd range.
The image is a bit blurry at very short distances (25yrds) though, and paralax error is noticable at longer ranges (120+ yrds).
For the price range I would recommend this scope.
Pros: BDC reticle
Cons: bit large and heavy ...

Great Scope! Highly recommend for any .22 rifle

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TN Written on March 30, 2014
I was hesitant at first after reading some of the reviews for this scope. People said that targets within 25 yards were blurry. However after mounting this and looking at objects across the room in my apartment, I have no problem clearly seeing objects 20 ft in front of me. This scope is best option for me as I wanted something to hunt with and target shoot with. Its not the smallest scope but its not obnoxiously large either. I would highly recommend this scope. I used the Leapers UTG Max Strength LE Grade Quick Detach Picatinny Riflescope Rings to mount this optic and it is a great setup.
Pros: Clarity, quality, price
Cons: none...
