Nikon Sportstar model

Nikon 8x25 DCF Sportstar EX III. If you have realistic expectations you will get 75% of the performance of the best for 25% of the price. In a direct comparison with the great Vanguard spirit 8x 42 ED I do with this lowend Nikon no problem. In daylight you get an efficient clarity and sharpness, distortion and color aberration is negligible. Power, of course, quickly falls at twilight. Portability, practical weight and size related to a full size binos is x 100%. Extremely wide viewing angle ( only 8x 25 design) is a bonus for challenging tourists. Pric 110USD is bargain. Recommend.
Pros: portability, price-performance ratio
Cons: nothing for his price...

Great Compact Binoculars

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on March 8, 2012
These are a very good pair of compact binoculars. I had a roof top prism compact binocs that were dropped and mis-aligned the prisms but the replacement the manufacturer sent me were not of the same quality. 10+ years later, what do you expect. So I have been looking for some as good for awhile. Finally I decided to pay more and try the Nikons, and you do get what you pay for. The clarity on these are great. If you are looking, you can stop here and be satisfied.
Pros: Clarity, value, size...

Nikon Spoerstar Binos

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, IN Written on June 11, 2011
I don'r actually own a pair of 10x25's. I have the 8x25 version. 8X is about the highest magnification that I can hold steady offhand, But mine have a nice clear and sharp image from edge to edge. I was actually quite surprised by the quality of the images. Good light transmission, too. These bino's are well worth the price.
Pros: Nice sharp images
Cons: They don't make the 8x25's anymore...

Nikon Sportstar Binoculars Review

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on January 27, 2011
Very satisfied with these Nikon Sportstar Binoculars. they are clear and crisp with very little distortion in a very compact easy to use and carry size. I would have liked a water proof version, but for the price overall I am very satisfied with this product and would recomend it for almost all uses.
Pros: clear, crisp, compact, attractive, low price, ease of use
Cons: not water proof...

Not bad

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, NC Written on October 11, 2010
Probably would be better off spending a bit more and getting something with twist up eye cups and more stable right eye adjustment. These are going back to Dicks and I'll buy something from here.
Pros: small, lightweight, pretty clear
Cons: fold down rubber eyecups, right eye adjustment doesn't stay where you adjust it....

Nikon Binocular

Great binoculars for the money. They work great, but they are a little bit larger than I was expecting from a compact binocular. It has great clarity for the price....
