Been using this for awhile now, and its been a great spotting scope. I'm glad that I didn't spend the money on a Zeiss spotting scope after using my friend's. This scope for the money is definately the best bang. I've used it for sighting in at 300 yards, and been able to seem my smaller 7mm caliber holes, and I've used it for .22 caliber holes at 100 yards. (Haven't tried 300yard .22 caliber holes, although I suspect it would work great). The downsides I see to this are, the adhesive laminate that goes on the tripod mount to this, peels off with pressure from my tripod, but it doesn't affect the operation. I also see some heat distortion during the day, but in my experience I've seen this with all glass that I've used, just some show up more then others. Plus I live in Arizona. Overall, you definately get your money out of this glass.
