This is a great product and I highly recommend Blackhawk products in general.

Just look over the cons section for my only negative thoughts on product
Pros: Easy to set up and place into service. Good quality
Cons: wish set up was able to be moved around on the vest with strike/molle style attachments instead of being sewn right in place...

BLACKHAWK Omega Elite Phalanx HSV Vest

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on February 27, 2011
This vest allows you to carry two doublestack pistol mags (four if you utilize side pocket and knife/light pocket). I personally have fit four Magpul PMags in this vest as well. It is designed to do so and is made to hold them tightly. The Phalanx vest also allows up to 19 3-inch magnum 12ga rounds to be carried. This gives the user high adaptability for mission or personal use. There is also a handcuff pouch and a large pouch that may be used as a dump pouch or may be used for a sound suppressor up to 7.5" long and 1.75" in diameter. Buckles crossing zipper can be used for rapid wear or can take strain off the zipper if reconfigured with the elastic straps holding excess webbing outside of the buckle instead of between buckle and vest. Highly recommended. BLACKHAWK makes excellent gear.
Pros: Versatility of loadout, placement of pouches, and adaptability of vest to add extra accessories and gear.
Cons: none...

Good GP/Active Shooter Vest

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on December 5, 2010
Good active shooter/unplanned entry platform, with a pouch variety that allows for a little of everything. Wide range of prices ($126-$170) for this vest give OpticsPlanet a thumbs-up at $126.99. Well worth the money, and well constructed. (If you're looking for several rifle pouches, look to a dedicated rifle vest, not a cross-platform such as this).
Pros: Cross-platform; pouch variety
Cons: Handgun pouch draw...

Not worth it

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on April 17, 2008
I bought this vest and I thought I was getting the real deal. However, it states at black Hawk web site that it has 3 pouches and each of them holds 2 m-16 mags, that was a lie. It only has 2 pouches and each one of them only hold ONE magazine! The flash light pouch not big enought to hold any type of flash light and the the same story with the cuff pouch. Don't wast your money!!!
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything...
