Pretty Good Vest

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on May 9, 2012
I am a huge Blackhawk fan, everything I can I try to buy Blackhawk. It seems like this vest has the same quality that Blackhawk puts into most of their products. I wish that some of the front pouches were removable, and as other reviewers have mentioned, it is extremely dificult to fit six mags in the vest as advertised. You are not going to get them out in a hurry. Other than that, great product.
Pros: Durable well made vest.
Cons: Magazine pouches are to tight for two mags....

a good vest for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, NC Written on November 4, 2011
A good vest for the money. Made of durable heavy nylon, is very resistant. You can see the quality is the one of Blackhawk products. Well made double seams. Only cons from my point of view are the too long straps on the back for regulation. Better made than others of same level brands.
Pros: good nylon quality
Cons: too long straps on back...

Durable and Usable vest

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on December 13, 2010
I find this vest to be really useful especially those that dont want to go MOLLE. The shoulder pads are awesome, as with all the pouches. Magazine pouch can fit 2 5.45mm AK magazine snugly. The buckles is only thing I didn't like, you have zipper already no point having buckles. It's kind of uncomfortable to use the vest without zipping up in my opinion.
Pros: Configuration is setup to typical users
Cons: No MOLLE on front,, pointless buckles when you have zipper on front...

BlackHawk Omega Elite Tactical Vest EOD

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on January 12, 2010
Purchased this vest for duty use and found the quality to be very good. There are plenty of pouches to hold just about everything you could want when doing building searches or working in a tactical environment. My only complaint with this vest is the tight rifle mag pouches when two magazines are placed in the pouch. I placed two mags in each pouch to see if they will stretch the material and I will leave them in there for the time being before deploying in the field. Until then, I would recommend placing one mag per pouch so you can get your mags out in a hurry.
Pros: Construction quality, variety of pouches.
Cons: Tight rifle magazine pouches...
