Whoa Back to Black and White Viewing

by AK Ranger, from United States, AK Written on September 20, 2014
I was pleasantly surprised by this little pocket NV viewer. This viewer work above expectations in low to medium light into no light contrasts. Beware of any direct light blindness! This was purchased as a backup to IR/NV and works with limited distance in total darkness. The range was increased with other bounce lighting. This will be a good gift for defensive application preparation to scan out the darkness....

Excellent Value

by Rick, from United States, CA Written on September 3, 2014
Quality item for the price. Small and compact so it's easy to put in your pocket when out at night. If your looking for an entry level night device this is a good start. It is 1st generation so don't get to high of expectations but for the money it's a nice item to have just in case....

The "Mini" that "could" and DOES!

by Champion Hill Johnny, from United States, MS Written on August 31, 2014
I thought, "oh boy...some tiny toy NVG device..." BOY WAS I WRONG! I am SHOCKED at the resolution and clarity of this so small, easy-to-carry and have on you all the time. For "urban"/up-close environments/scenarios, it's EXCELLENT for CLEAR vision and resolution. Even outside in an a field or woods, for distances up to 35-40 yards, you WILL SEE with GREAT clarity--and if you got some "moonlight" out....it's incredible what this little "Mini" can do! Getting another one ASAP!...

Quite a useful little tool...

by KaliberKollector, from United States, CA Written on August 30, 2014
I must say I was surprised on how well this unit functions for what it is. It's very small and easy to actuate. I purchased a small 5w 940nm IR light to see what it would do with this unit. Using the light on flood literally lights up pitch black like daylight out to 25 yards or so. The 940nm lights are nearly invisible to the naked eye, even in pitch black conditions and this unit picks up 940nm very well. I'm sure the 850nm IR lights would perform just as well. However the 850nm emanates a distinct red glow in pitch black conditions. I can't see using this monocular as a "mission critical" surveillance tool, but it serves very well as a camp-time tool and around the house fun. The field of view is fairly narrow. Just remember this is a sub-100.00 night device. Given the cost, I would certainly purchase another. I'm definitely interested in future upgraded versions....

Night vision boy

by Laimis, from Ireland, Dublin Written on August 9, 2014
Interesting product - small and it really can see in the dark. Even in completely dark.
Just others can see you as well because of infrared sensor.
It very small and light.
Problem is what device is not protected from moisture. No even water proof package.
Hope it is durable in other conditions.
It would be good if there would be the way how to fit it to the helmet or other devices. Now only strap provided....

Perfect for EDC!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 5, 2014
I keep one of these in my EDC (Every Day Carry)backpack, and one by my back door. My Shirley and I use it for looking for our dogs in the yard. Much cooler than a flashlight. Fits in the palm of a hand and works as advertised! Great product! Everyone loves it and should have one. Great gift, also.
Pros: Performance, size, cost...
