Excellent Value in a Large Range Bag

by FD, from United States, TX Written on April 14, 2015
I had been wanting an additional range bag for some time when I received a promo on this one. I have a smaller one that most would consider the "standard" size for a range bag (ability to hold a couple of handguns, ammo, eyes and ears, etc.) but I had outgrown it. This bag is very large and capable of holding multiple handguns, ammunition, eyes and ears, targets, staplers, cleaning equipment, tools, etc. I can even get rifle rests inside of it if I want to (even though those would be a waste of useable space, it illustrates the size of the bag).

Some have noted that the bag is almost too big, as by the time you get a lot of ammunition, handguns, and other gear inside it can become quite heavy. This is true, so I use my smaller range bag to hold ammunition and other relatively heavy tools (stapler, screwdriver set, etc.) and then put all of my handguns and other general range gear (eyes and ears, etc.) inside of this one and usually end up with room to spare. If you just want to use one bag though, and don't mind the weight, this one can handle it without any issues.

The take-out center storage bag is very useful for housing eyes and ears and other general range equipment, as it can be carried separately by it's own carry handle and makes often-used gear very easily and quickly accessible. It functions similar to an open-top tool bag. The "walls" inside of it are modular and can be adjusted to fit whatever you may want to put inside of it.

The interior space of the main bag...

Quality range bag

by RH, from United States, OH Written on April 7, 2015
Thick sturdy material and sticking with heavy duty zippers. Plenty of space for ammo, muffs, magazines, and several firearms. I am extremely happy with my decision to purchase this product. I'm glad I didnt spend the money for other name brands after comparing this product to those the quality of this bag is much better. I would highly recommend this product ....

OPMOD Range Bag

by Bob, from United States, VA Written on March 21, 2015
The OPMOD range bag is exactly what it is described to be. It solved my problem of needing a bag that could accommodate supplies for a pistol and rifle session at the range. I did have one issue with the pull tabs coming off the zippers, but I solved it quickly by opening the tabs, adding a little superglue, and closing. pretty easy evolution....

Excellent design, VERY roomy

by Tom, from United States, CO Written on March 19, 2015
After 2 range trips now, this bag gets 5 stars from me. Very roomy, easy to load all the geat for me & my wife into 1 kit.
I'm loading 4 pistols (in holsters) into the pistol sleeves, 2 pistols per side, and they're not crammed in. The center pullout carrier has 4 large compartments on 1 end, 1 packs 2 ear defenders, 1 packs 2 pair glasses in their large cases, the 2 others carried my magazine pouches. The other end of the pullout carrier had plenty of room for 5 boxes of 9mm, plus 3 boxes of .308.
The exterior pockets are big also. Each end pocket has plenty of room for a med kit, the 2 side pockets had plenty of room for a cleaning kit and tools. The opposite side pouch has plenty of magazine sleeves, plus the sleeve unzips enough to lay down for working on the guns.
There's also an included brass pouch that is at the moment very full, plus an exterior pocket for a water bottle.
All in all, this bag is Sturdy, ROOMY, and well laid out. Seems to have been designed by somebody who is a shooter....
Pros:
  • roomy
  • Sturdy
  • well designed
Cons:
  • Big enough to pack it too heavy
Best Used for:
  • Range Ops

Great Bag to Consolidate Range Gear

by PRH, from United States, NH Written on March 18, 2015
Bigger than I thought. Just what I wanted though. Well made. I can fit safety gear for 2 people easily and room for pistols, magazines, ammunition and targets.

I had to reattach two of the zipper pulls on one pocket. No big deal....

Holds Much

by Strada, from United States, WA Written on March 17, 2015
Love this bag. Lots of room for all my stuff for a day at the range. I shoot mainly at an indoor range and drink and food are not permitted so I use the water bottle pouch to hold a rolled up first aid kit for quick access. The magazine holding elastic loops hold the mags snugly and the ends of the mags are held by a strip of sewn in material that keeps the mags from bowing out. It's a nice feature when you have the side panel down as a pistol rug. The pullout bag is nice to transport the pistols and ammo to the shooting bench. It keeps the bench from being overcrowded. Then the empty middle compartment is used to store my roll up jacket thus keeping all my things together. There is also a loop to hold your rolled up targets on top of the bag. It situates the targets within the handles preventing them from flopping around.

I would have liked to have a mesh panel on the top lid to hold small flat items. My old bag had one and I kept my timer instruction manual, packets of extra foam ear plugs, and lens cleaners. I had two zipper pulls that were defective. The plastic tabs enclosing the ends of the pulls were missing. And the snap hook that holds the brass bag to the bag was missing. (I know this because of the OP video.)...

HUGE bag!!!

by Smoothpnoy, from United States, CA Written on March 16, 2015
Bought this bag for 2 pistols... it has enough room to carry 10 and all their ammo! It was built very strong and the carrying handles and straps are pretty sturdy and comfortable. The internal divider doubles as a pistol mat while out on the range. Lots of pockets and ability to secure mags with built-in sewn elastic bands....

martial arts kitbag

by jhargreaves4, from United States, NJ Written on March 15, 2015
Probably not the typical usage for this bag but i have been looking at range and rollout bags for storing/transporting my martial arts equipment. I compete regularly and have a bunch of sparring equipment, equipment, clothing. This bag really fits me needs in terms of pockets and compartments, I just wish it was a little bit bigger. Even removing the carry out section, the bag doesn't quite fit all my stuff so easily. But if I were to go for the next level up in bag size i would be getting something far too big. I guess i just have annoying size need.

Build quality of the bag itself is very solid. Holds it shape well and seams will never come apart. What has come apart a couple of times is the zipper tags. Easily to fix/snap bag together but I am not putting rough use to the bag so surprised they pop open so easily.

Recommend the bag but pay careful attention to the dimensions. There is no give in the bag, no chance of squeezing in an extra piece of equipment as the bag holds its structural integrity well....

Makes trips to the range much easier

by Matt, from United States, TX Written on March 12, 2015
For years I have used a swiss gear backpack to hold all my range items but eventually it got full and I had to use other bags to carry the extras. I ordered this hoping to at least cut it down to the backpack and range bag only. Wrong. I fit everything in this bag! It's not a huge bulky bag, but with its design you can fit so much in it. I had so much space left over, I emptied a 50 cal can that carried all my mags to complete filling out the bag. One less can I have to take to the range. The reloaders pouch is an awesome addition. I don't know what else to say about the bag, it is a must.

I noticed the worst review on the bag where the buyer said his zipper pulls came off. One of mine did as well. All you need to do is take a flathead screwdriver and open the plastic latch, place the string back in and snap it shut. I checked all zippers after that and 4 more had an extra snap to them to secure them. So as soon as you get the bag, resist going crazy opening everything like a present at Christmas and squeeze all the plastic latches to make sure they are snapped shut all the way....
