This bag has it all and at a very good price. I use it both as a shooting mat and a rifle case. The pockets help keep my magazines and optics secure.
A little over-rated but overall a great value

Pros: Great value, lots of room for magazines and other accessories
Cons: A little small to actually hold two rifles and folds out to be a little small to be a really good shooters mat
Would recommend: yes

It's a little small to hold a 2nd rifle with either an 18" fixed stock AR or a "sniper" configuration PTR-91, but that's OK. It would also be better if it folded out into a bigger shooter's mat- it's a little short for that purpose. Overall it seems to be well-made and is hard to beat for the price.

Bought to to consolidate my stuff for the range. Really nice, tons of pockets for stuff, and holds two rifles in place without any movement. Totally recommended.

I am retired and can go to the range anytime I like and the weather permits. Instead of lugging several rifle cases and accessories to and from the range, I can now load up the OPMOD bag and can enjoy using the range time and not the carrying several cases and other items to and from the range. It also allows easy safe storage and security for my weapons and accessories I am so glad I purchased the OPMOD bag, Thanks!

The price for this rifle bag is outstanding and it has alot of storage space. I have not used the portion of the bag that serves as a shooting mat yet, but I know it will be great. I would definitely recommend this bag.

a great size bag for use as a shooting mat, but a bit clumsy as a rifle case,a little stiffening might help. good materials and workmanship.

Pros: Material if fine, good amount of large compartments, zipper ties.
Cons: not enough molle and velcro to ties gear to it. not ridgit for heavy equipment
Would recommend: yes
CitadelInstitute wrote:
the MODPOD is a good concept it has large bags but they are not re-enforced so if you put heavy equipment inside (magazines loaded with ammo) the bags will sag. also it may need some re-enforcement ribs around the outline of the bag so when you move, crawl, climb with the bag on your back it does not sag or shift on your back. A good belt will go a long way to stabilize the weight on it. I do recommend it to for normal range use, but for use in the field it needs some additional work.

Would recommend: yes

This is a great deal for the money, and after inspecting the bag in person, I've seen bags lie it at double the price. It will also (with a little tucking in at the edges) fit tight in my M3200 Pelican case. MOLLE attachments and side pouches are a plus too. I liked it enough to get a black one too.
