Garbage

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on April 15, 2012
Bought this scope and mounted on my AR, noticed that windage adjustments did not work, Contacted office manager of Osprey and recieved a RA # to send my scope in for repairs, That was 12 weeks ago and I have not heard from anyone at Osprey, They no longer answer the phone for the number they have on their website,I sent several e-mails to the so called office manager and to the sales dept. with no response from either.Lokks like I am just out of the money and a scope.I would not recommend any of Osprey's products to anyone.

Osprey 6-24x50mm

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, GA Written on December 18, 2011
Yes, It is a good, affordable scope. If you want 6-24x power and can't afford the $600 plus on higher end scopes, this is a good choice. I had it on a 325 WSM and was having trouble repeating zero until I put some quality rings on it. The other problem (if using a High Recoil Rifle) is the bruise between your eyes from the 2-3" eye relief that is critical when set above 20x. I now have the scope on a 22-250 and love it. My last criticism is that the edges get blurry at 24x. I just use 22x as a max which is plenty for me. No problem shooting Sub MOA if you and your rifle are up to the task.
Pros: Price, Power, Features
Cons: Clarity at 24x, Rings that come with are junk....

Excellent Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, NH Written on May 26, 2011
I put this on my PTR-91K with a low-profile scope mount. Dialed it in with a laser bore sighter. It's a tack driver. I have a cheek pad on the stock. There are few scopes on the market that are of this quality for anywhere near the price. You can't go wrong buying one! HIGHLY Recommended!
Pros: Low price, built well, better than expected...

Osprey 6 - 24 x 50 Rangefinder Riflescope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on November 26, 2010
I found no explanation as to how to use the rangefinder reticle in the instructions that came with the scope. I was able to find an explanation on-line. I purchased this scope to mount on my AR. It's 100 yard accuracy is excellent. I have yet to test it at more distant targets, but I expect it will be spot-on.
Pros: Price, features & warranty
Cons: Instruction manual short on detail...

Osprey Tactical Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on November 19, 2010
I bought this sight because the price was right, and the reviews on Osprey products on the internet said value for money was good. The optical clarity is good, not great. The rangefinder reticle lines are too fine, and hard to see even with parallax adjustment spot on. Illumination, especially green, seems to help my eyes see the crosshairs on the background better. The lowest marks go to the aperture diameter (the image size at the pupil). There is significantly less image output in diameter with this sight compared to other brands of the same dimension. This reduction in field of view is a significant impairment in competition, and allows the image to float around in the tube too much. Without a really good cheek weld, a shooter will have a tough time staying consistent shot to shot due to the image moving around too much. The big black ring around the image tells me the optics just aren't set right. I am going to go with another proven brand on my next purchase. I will likely replace this sight on the gun I mounted it on.
Pros: Durable, Adjustments and fit are all tight and crisp
Cons: Reticle lines too fine, Aperture too narrow...

Great Scope for the Money

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CO Written on May 3, 2010
This scope is the best scope for the money! I did alot of research on this company and my findings are as follows. They have fast customer service on returns and make a real reliable scope for the price. I put it on a Rock River Varmet 223 with a 22" barrel and it shoots .375 MOA at 100 yards! Great scope! Would reccomend to anyone and all callabers including a 50 bmg.
