Over 30 orders

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on February 17, 2012
The grip bipod is a great accessory if the 30+ Opticsplanet customers ever receive it. I am one of these customers who is still waiting for this item. All orders have been in limbo from September 2011 to February 2012. This is unacceptable from a business with so many satisfied reviews.
Cons: There are over 30 customers waiting on their purchase...

Excellent

This bi-pod is just what I was looking for! I must admit for the price, I was very hesitant I would receive such a great product! It even came with rail attached to the side so you can attach more stuff to it. Highly impressed!...

A Great Value

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, FL Written on June 27, 2011
I originally purchased this for a Ruger 10/22 tactical conversion and it worked really good there. Shortly thereafter, I put a tactical stock on my Mini 14 and now the bipod gets used on both very effectivly. Its very easy to switch back and forth.
Pros: Easy to attach and detach. Very stable shooting platform...

Nice grip!

Probably not milspec, but appears sturdy and functional on AR platform during one trial trip in the woods. Reasonable price. Don't know about use for AK.
Pros: Meets expectations...

TERRIBLE BI-POD

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on May 24, 2011
Great service from optics planet. Ok about the scope. It was easy to install and the grip is ok but when you go to use the bi-pod its terrible. Its way too wobbly. I would not recommend this if you plan on using the bi-pod.
Pros: easy to install
Cons: bi-pod on grip too wobbly...

Not Bad If You Don't Want To Spend A lot

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, PA Written on May 14, 2011
In Iraq lots of soldiers were issued the "GripPod" which this is basically a copy of. The original GripPod is made in Israel but isn't marked - just like any weapons, equipment, aren't marked made in Israel because of the political situation... But everyone got one, hell, most people got 2 or more, they must have ordered too much lol...

But I tell ya, it's unusual to be issued stuff like this but the Military tested it and found it to be worth issuing to everyone. Over in Iraq you either got an m-4 carbine with high tech optics like the Trijicon or you'd get the older m-16s with an M203 launcher. Well, a week after issuing everyone was using them... They're very effective. By itself it's a great forward grip. With the legs extended it's perfect for resting against your thigh when on the move, and you can move around and position yourself quickly unlike with a heavier metal bipod. In fact, most people that bad bipods got rid of them after getting these...

We tested the GripPod and couldn't break it. And I never saw one break in battle...

But the GripPod costs about 5x the price of this Osprey which is obviously just a knock off of the GripPod... They seem ok. I don't think they're as durable...

Guess it depends on how much you're putting into your gun. If you're not going full out it's fine, but if you already spent 2k+ and have the best optics etc then mine as well get the GripPod...

Otherwise the Osprey is just fine ;) Especially on a .22 ;)
Pros: Good pric...

Tactical Grip with Bipod

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on January 2, 2011
Seems well made. One leg of the bi pod drops down more slowly than the other. Have yet to take this in the field under adverse conditions. Will be thrilled if it holds up a few thousand rounds.
Pros: dual grip/pod
Cons: not sure of durability yey...
