I love Pachmayr finger groove grips

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, GA Written on June 27, 2014
I've been using Pachmayr finger groove grips in small revolvers since the first came out a very long time ago. It's like getting a new gun. You'll never go back to factory grips. The finger grooves place the grip in the same position every time. There's also a slight palm swell which is just right. I also tried Hogue grips a few times over the years, but have a slight preference for Pachmayr over Hogue. However Hogue is a good grip. These Pachmayrs were out of stock but I still received them very quickly. Optics Planet is a first class outfit. Excellent correspondence by email. Excellent pricing. Reasonable shipping. This was my first experience with them and I was impressed.
Pros: Started using these decades ago when they first came out.
Cons: None at all....

Bought for conceal carry Smith & Wesson, 38 special, still small enough for concealment, and covers guns butt and adds third finger grip, makes the gun more comfortable in the hand...
Pros: Nice feel, extends grip, greater control when fired

Pachmayr Grips for Colt Agent

Much better grips than factory wood grips, although a much higher profile, but worth the concession.
Pros: Better grip than factory wood grips.
Cons: Not as low a profile, worth the consequence....

Get a secure grip

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, GA Written on November 10, 2011
A great substitute for those nice wooden grips that you don't want to bang up when you are at the range or in the woods. Easily installs and definitely improves the control of your weapon. Only a slight gap on one section of the grip where it meets the frame that was easily trimmed to fit.
Pros: easy to install, durable
Cons: slight gap in fit...

Pachmayr Rocks

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 14, 2011
Bought them at the local gun shop went to the range and took off the hogue's that i had bought and didn't like and put on the pachmayr's easy to install. And i tell you what a difference i was shooting my 44 mag and it wasn't bad at all, what a difference from the hogue's more money but well worth it.
Pros: Comfort & Control
Cons: They didn't come with the gun....
