Pros: Nearly indestructible!
Cons: Heavy, Trimming the foam is a nuisance, but nothing worth losing sleep over
Would recommend: yes

I've been using Pelican cases for the past 15+ years in mostly marine environments, but in air travel as well. I've seen all manner of things dropped on them, and one (filled with underwater video gear) go off of the side of a moving airport baggage truck. Not so much as a scratch on the contents. These are great boxes for whatever you want to put in them and this box is no exception. Previous cases I've purchased have had the middle layer of foam perforated so you can quickly and easily trim it without a knife. This one didn't. Also, for air travel, they tend to be heavy, but the weight is the price you pay for the strength and protection they offer.

Pros: Rugged, heavy duty latches, air/water tight, wheels
Cons: Foam inserts are solid. As I am no artist with a knife I would have preferred the style that is precut for easy removal in small squares.
Would recommend: yes

While I would have preferred that the foam was precut for easy removal to match desired contents, given the quality of the case and the relatively low prices, I would definitely buy more of these, and just cut carefully.

the 1720 is the perfect case for an ar15 and all of it's accesories. It's rugged and watertight. I have mine fitted with an AR, various scopes, sling, a 1911, and magazines. The case is a bit pricey and the foam was difficult to cut.

Cons: A little expensive and wish they made a 4 rifle case
Would recommend: yes

These are the toughest cases, the foam comes where you can cut it to shape your weapon, it is easy to do. This case has wheels and they work great also. No chance of weapons damage you can put your case in the back of a truck and not worry about it.

This Pelican case is strong and sturdy like all others. It is somewhat time consuming and difficult to cut out the foam to fit your weapons, but once that is done the fit and security is unbelieveable.
