This is an awesome light. The fact that it will not "die"...but, will give you a warning by flashing off and then on...prior to it going dead is a big plus. My only complaint is the belt holder for it...is open on the bottom. I find that it keeps hitting my seat or other objects in the patrol car and turn the light on with the bottom "on" button. Otherwise, I highly reccomend it.
Really Impressed

$100 bucks is a lot for a flashlight, but I've been tired of fading batteries and poor light output from my Maglite and other non-LED variations. I decided to buy one of these for myself and one each for my brother and father for Xmas. In a word - WOW. Amazing light output that carries for a long, long way. I'm buying another one for permanent mounting in my SUV. $100 well spent IMO.
Excellent Handheld Beacon!

This light is AMAZING! I have used it to search for suspects, clear houses, and complete a lengthy Search Warrant service. The LED stays at full power for over 90 minutes, and alerts you prior to power failure. So bright it looks like a Airport landing spotlight, It will amaze you. I own numerous lights from 16 Surefire lights to 4 Streamlights, and this Pelican rates in the top 2 now.
Excellent Flashlight

I have used Maglights and later, Streamlight flashlights when I worked as a Police Officer and now as a Deputy in Probation. This product far exceeds that product line. Brightness is awesome and the length of time before re-charging is impressive. Light weight and small. I definitely recommend this product. I am now buying my 79 yr old mother one for home use.
This is a MUST HAVE for LEO's, security, investigators . . .

This is the finest tactical flashlight on the market, bar none. Its extremely bright spot beam is better than any I've ever encountered in a hand-held torch. The dual switch design is helpful, and the heat sink at the front at the light keeps it from becoming uncomfortably hot. This is a home run in design for Pelican and the LAPD.
