These work fine as advertised. For some complaining, you do need to use these correctly. You must pull on your ear and spin these in and spin these out. If you hear a pop in your ear when removing them, you are doing wrong. That said, I with there was a spring mechanism or interlocking between the two pieces because some copies of this product are looser than they should be. Also, there is no reason why you could not have put a string retention system in the middle as well. That said, these work fine and I am happy with them.
