It ultimately went to my son, who thinks it is great. However, it was out of focus for me and at my age my eyes cannot accomodate enough. I have 20-20 vision so it isn't just me. For older people it is critical that the binoculars are exacly focused at the factory. Too bad there is not a fine focus adjustment on the eyepieces. But then it wouldn't be a Permafocus. I feel that these binoculars are best for younger people and may be ideal for them.

I have a Jason Permafocus 7X35 that is a very good pair of binoculars for birdwatching beyond 50 feet. Bushnell took over Jason and I hoped that they were as competent in making these binoculars. I wanted more power so I went for the 12X50 model. Unfortunately, it is not properly focused and has chromatic distortion on the right side. Since there is no way to adjust the focus, it is useless and was a waste of money.

Love them. Have had a pair for approximately 5 years. Never have to adjust them, no matter who uses them. Bought several for Christmas presents.
