Pros:  Very Bright & Great Throw on High Spot
Cons:  Brightest Spot Setting eats batteries
Would recommend:  yes

This is a great headlight. I bought my Dad one for Christmas and ordered myself a Mammut X-zoom and after using them both one time I traded my X-zoom for an Apex. It's very bright, waterproof, and comfortable on your head. Just use Lithium batteries to cut down on weight since it's a little heavy with alkalines if you don't use the top strap. I would order another one in a heartbeat, and for the price you can't beat it.
