Amazing clarity

by tattoo, from United States, NJ Written on November 4, 2014
Clear crisp comfortable & protect like muffs twice the size ! I hardly notice im wearing them and hear better than when im nit wearing them. They are pricey but you do get what you pay for ! Sound is really clear & there is no feedback noise...also they breathe well and dont make you sweat like less expensive brands....

Worst product of its type available

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on February 6, 2014
Absolutely the worst product I have encountered. Bought these to replace a $40.00 set of Peltors I had picked up from Walmart. I wanted something with a higher noise reduction rating as I already suffer from partial hearing loss and was willing to spend more money for a better product. I was totally dismayed by the poor quality of materials and construction used in the Pro Ears, The entire unit is constructed of plastic including the headband. I could clearly see the headband breaking under normal use as some users have experienced. The Pro Ears headset is also extremely uncomfortable to wear. The ear cups extend just below the jawline and press into the wearer's jugular. Overall the Pro Ears headset has the look and feel of a Chinese knockoff but cost $300.00 The $40.00 Peltors are considerably better made and can be worn all day. These were so uncomfortable I could not wear them for more than 5 minutes. Do yourself a favor and by the Peltor Pro Tactical for $80.00 less than this overpriced junk.

Pleasant Surprise

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WV Written on August 23, 2012
Head set is everything as advertised. They seem to be well made and they definitely do protect from harsh sounds. The amplification feature is great for carrying on conversation while still being protected at the range, also while hunting.Very comfortable to wear for extended periods.
Pros: Very comfortable - Work as advertised
Cons: A little pricey...

Gold Standard

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on June 24, 2012
I bought this to use as a range officer at a covered outdoor range and for use with long guns as well as pistols.
These work great for carring on a conversation in a normal manner while gunfire is occuring closeby. Words are not clipped off, the gunfire is atenuated down to a safe level.
The slim is adequate for all but the larger cal. rifles without muzzle breaks and pistols up to 45acp. Above that they can be supplemented with ear plugs.
I wear them in the Tx heat and only occasionaly have to wipe away a small amount of perspiration. They are much more comfortable than the ones they replaced.

Does the trick

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on October 25, 2011
I can hear as well/ maybe better with them turned off as I can with no protector, but gun shots are dramatically reduced. They are very cmfortable to wear. Look to be well built. You'd think that for the money they would include a carry case.
Pros: works well
Cons: expensive...
