These were a great fit. Be mindful when ordering 55mm or 52mm. The 55mm will fit guys better. 52mm is a bit small. Pros: Great fit Cons: None

Awesome sunglasses!

by Heather, from Canada, NL Written on December 29, 2014
These came just in time for x-mas and my friend LOVED them. They were slightly darker colour than in the picture, but they were still great looking. Fit well, seem to be great quality and the shipping was fast. Will buy again from opticsplanet...

The real deal at a great price

by venture996, from United States, MA Written on December 29, 2014
After seven years of heavy use I finally did it, I broke my Ray Bans! I dropped them on the floor and then stepped on them. Entirely my fault, but I had to get replacements. I was initially hesitant to buy replacements online, but since I buy a lot of stuff online I figured it was worth some research; which led me to Optics Planet.

I loved my old Wayfarers for their classic look and great comfort (I sometimes take six hour drives and believe me, uncomfortable sunglasses can make a tough drive even worse). I was able to get exactly what I wanted. My original pair had polarized lenses, but I found that when I glanced at my cell phone (nope, I never text and drive) it was tough to read, so I went with the non-polarized Green tint lenses. Three days later I had the new Ray Bans in hand. The are absolutely authentic, and are exactly what I wanted. Comfortable, good looking, and work great, even in that always difficult low winter sun.

In terms of maintenance, I found that cleaning them with the included lint free cloth is the best thing, and then occasionally washing them with warm soapy water to remove any oil....

Perfect fit!

by Cathy, from United States, NJ Written on October 2, 2014
At first I was hesitant to buy sunglasses online but after careful research, I opted to buy my Wayfarer sunglasses at Optics Planet. I was afraid of fake Rayban sunnies being sold online so I opted to go with a trusted retailer. Perfect fit for me! Didn't have any issues with my order. Thanks Optics Planet!...

Nice sunglasses

by Loprinzi, from New Zealand, Canterbury Written on August 30, 2014
Really good sunglasses and exceptional value on this site. Comes with everything that you need with cases and cleaning cloths to keep it in good condition. The polarized lenses are so good for operating in areas of glare and driving a car. Good wearing frames....

Best glasses ever

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on May 26, 2014
I ordered 3 pairs: black, polarized, 55mm; tortoise, non-polarized, 52mm; tortoise, non-polarized, 55mm, so I was able to compare the sizes, colors and polarized feature of these glasses. Here we go.

1. Authenticity: All of the 3 pairs were sold by Amazon.com, and they all seemed genuine to me. Not even a doubt. Solid and clear. I did notice that the black pair was missing the engraved "RB" on the back of the left lenses. I don't know why.

2. Polarized: The polarized feature doesn't bother me at all in reading LCD screens, nor does it improve the view much (it cuts out a little more light, but not much difference).

3. Sizing: I am a small guy and have narrow face. The 52mm is definitely for children: a bit tight (even for me) and looks like a toy; The 55mm looks great, although i feel they can be loose sometimes (look good, but wear loose). I strongly recommend 55mm if you have to get these, unless you are buying for your kids.

4. Looks: They both look great, but I prefer the tortoise ones that are a little bit different but not too special. Another thing to note is that other people can see your eyes more easily through the ordinary lenses than the polarized lenses.

5. comparison to the OriginalWayfarer (2140): later I got a pair of 2140 (Original Wayfarer, 54mm, tortoise color) for my cousin. The Original Wayfarers are a bit more expensive, but feel they are of better quality: stronger metal hinge, thicker and heavier plastic. Size-wise, the Original Wayfarer...

karpindur

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, GA Written on April 11, 2014
So, I bought my 2nd pair of Wayfarers about four years ago and had prescription tinted and polarized lenses installed in the frame. I teach class, some of which is done outside, and my New Wayfarers grew legs and walked away. Unable to endure without a pair, I bought another pair, this time with the Tortoise frame and had the G15 lenses taken out and installed the original Polarized G15's into the frame. The difference from the prescription lenses was so amazing that even if I should somehow recover the other prescription lens pair, I will keep using the polarized G15s instead. Ray Bans simply rule, as the fit, durability and optics quality beat all of the rest out there as far as I know. they are a tad pricey, but the reassuring confidence of the stout and perfectly fitting precision built frames, and the instant relief and vision improvement that hits you when you gazing through the lens for the first time cannot be matched by any other out there. Ray-Bans Rule, simple as that.
Pros: Excellent fit and optical quality
Cons: Others like them too, so you must guard them with your life...
