Pros:  converts holster to level 4 retention no matter what
Cons:  could be a widowmaker if you don't practice
Would recommend:  yes

What no one says is that some safariland holsters come with the sentry/lock and some the plastic hood guard besides the main sls retention strap for level 3 retention this makes it level 4 which is nice for retention but takes practice to draw quick! It installs nice! Basically we are talking about 2 parts and this combines them both you can't combine a sentry with a hood guard unless you order this part!
