Great holster

by Yote, from United States, MS Written on August 29, 2014
Retention system is very intuitive. Easy to use and extremely secure. Sits high enough to not dig in too bad during short trips in the car, but will get uncomfortable during long rides. Sticks out too far to be easily concealed, but shouldn't be too hard with a longer jacket....
Best Used for:
  • Open carry

Safariland ALS Paddle Holster

This is a great holster for plaincloths duty. Holster is very secure for firearm and to your person with the paddle. Not a great choice for concealment due to fact is very sturdy and a bit bulky.
Pros: Security, Durability
Cons: Somewhat Bulky...

Great holster

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NY Written on March 2, 2012
This holster is great. The fit is absolutely perfect (something very difficult to fing for a Glock 30). The finish is very smooth and snagless, and rides nice and close to the body, adding to its concealmment capability. The only issue I've had, and it needs to be the way it is so I'm not complaining, is that it takkes some work to use the paddle. It is VERY tight, leaving the holster very secure, mut it does make it a pain to put it on or take it off your pants. On a positive note, a bad gut isn't pulling it off either!
Pros: Smooth finish, rides close to body, doesn't snag
Cons: A little difficult to use the paddle....

After using a thumbsnap holster for many years, I found it easy to transition to the 6378. I liked the adjustable belt loop, ride height, and security of this holster.
Pros: Quality/price...

Safariland 6378 ALS Holster

I just purchased the Safariland 6378 ALS Holster. It works perfectly with my Crimson Trace Lasergrips.

The Safariland 6378 ALS Holster comes with both the "Belt Loop" and "Paddle" options.

It also has the same locking/retention system as the Blackhawk Serpa Holsters, but the release button is hidden and can be activated while wearing thick heavy gloves on those cold winter nights.

I needed a retention holster that also accommodated the Crimson Trace laser grips. I'm really glad I found this holster.
Pros: Works perfectly with Crimson Trace Lasergrips
Cons: None...
