Good quality holster

by gunny, from United States, MI Written on October 15, 2014
This holster is exactly what I wanted. The quality is better than any other brand out there and is right on par with safariland and bianchi brand holsters. All 3 companies are good and would be the only brand I would choose. I have seen other brand holsters a day none are as good as these. This holster carries my 1911 very well. The only thing I would change on it is that the thumb break is a little bigger than I think it should be.it just seems like it is oversized, but some people may not mind. It is fine for carrying my 1911 cocked and locked the way it should be carried. Also the end of my barrels recessed about a 1/4" inside the bottom of the holster so that it protects the end of the pistol also. Just a good holster and would recommend it. Optics planet took just about a month to get me this holster which I had known, I would have ordered it somewhere else and paid the couple bucks shipping. Other than the poor service, I would recommend the holster no matter where you buy it....

Does fit Smith 459

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on May 10, 2011
Hey does fit Smith 459. Safariland said it wouldn't. Thumb break rides over hammer. Carry with hammerblock on!!! I do anyway. 1/4 hammer cock or full will not fit. Close to body with belt looped through outside holster. Comfort A+. Draw A (holster stays put). Use wide as possible belt. GREAT PRICE...

Great Holster!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, VA Written on January 17, 2010
Having owned a Safariland paddle holster for my Glock 21, I was well aware of the quality of their products. I recently bought a new Glock 27 for concealed carry, and thought I would try a Fobus holster. Needless to say, I soon ordered the Safariland (should have done that in the first place). I don't believe Safariland can be beat for quality and value. This new one has good retention, rides well, and fits the handgun perfectly. You can pay much more, but you can't get any better.
Pros: Quality, Ease of Use
Cons: None...
