Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Not aluminum
Would recommend: yes

It saves money replacing the original fore end while retaining the air ventilation plus allows a dual installation if you need the extra rails down the line. So far, it's quite sturdy with just my fold-able handle installed with enough room to add a bipod in the future. For the "aluminum railers," this is made of the same material as the original fore end and should hold up as well.
Exceeded my expectations!

The trick to installing this is to tighten all the screws at the same time, being careful not to over tighten any of the screws. For under $75 I now have a weaponlight mounted on my AR-15 that is effective out to 300+ yards.

I've been using the Safariland RLS flashlight on my glock for years. This system allows me to use the same light on 2 weapon systems. The 45 degree slant rails leave top & bottom positions open for other equipment. Also, with just the forward part of the fore end railed I don't need to use covers to keep from tearing up my hands.

It did the job for me to mount a flashlight to my rifle at a inexpesive rate. Also easily removed when not using in that setup. Rugged, Sturdy...I am happy. This setup will allow you to mound a light and foward grip no problem when you are not ready to spend alot of money on a quad rail system.

Pros: Cost, light weight, versitlity
Cons: You must remove this device to remove the handguards for cleaning and oiling the barrel.
Would recommend: yes

This a great product for those who do not want to go to the expense of purchasing a new set of handguards with full picitiny rails. In addition, this product leaves the rear of the handguards with a natural fit for you hand. It has versitility is so much as you can mount it with the 3 rails in 2 different configurations. It is simple to install and easy to remove if one choses to do so. Its high density polymer give it strenght while retaining light weight. In short, I like this product a lot.

Pros: East to install. Leaves original fore end intack.
Cons: Moves if the fore end moves.
Would recommend: yes

I put this on an original AR carbine that I did not want to change the fore end on, but wanted a light mount and verticle grip on. It mounted easily with two choices of screws available to fit whatever diameter of fore end you have. There will most likely always be a gap between the top and bottom halves of the mount, but I simply cut foam spacers to cover the screws in these gaps. Overall, and for the price, the mount does what I wanted without having to alter my carbine and allows me to reach a light from the verticle grip. It does move a bit, but that is because the original fore end moves a bit, and with this particular Viet Nam era carbine that is the way it goes! Overall I am very happy with it, but if what you want is a monolithic rail mount it may not be for you.
