Great Glasses at a great price from a solid retailer

by Shin, from United States, TX Written on December 23, 2014
Great purchase at a great price. I like these glasses a lot. They feel somewhat flimsy, but that is simply the feel of rimless glasses. The lenses are quality, as is the construction. They also stay on your face while being active. The best price I found after 6 months of searching was definitely with Optics Planet. They arrived on time with no problems. This is the 4th set of glasses I have ordered with Optics Planet and I have been more than satisfied each time. Will continue to shop here. Between the Bolle and Serengeti models offered and the low cost...I found my eyewear retailer....
Pros:
  • light weight
  • Quality
  • great lenses
  • aesthtically nice

Great everyday glasses

by Kreighoff, from United States, TX Written on December 18, 2014
Nice to see a company using something other than PolyCarb for their premium sunglasses! These glasses are wonderful for everyday use/driving. Very light weight and extreme clarity. Serengeti uses a derivation of Trivex material for their lenses. Trivex has been around since 2001 whereas PolyCarb lenses were introduced in 1966. These are great sunglasses, highly recommended....

Beautiful sunglass with polarized glasses for a top price.
IT gives you a better vieuw because of the Brown glasses even in clouded weather conditions Good use for beaches and skiing, mountain walking but not for flying....

Great quality and a really nice lens. Very light weight. I use then when flying and the polarization and neutral grey really helps to pick out other airplanes.
Pros: Neutral color, light, adjust according to the brightness
Cons: Lenses do not darken on the car....

a light sunglasses that I need

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, OH Written on January 30, 2012
It is 8-base and press against my cheek, I have to wash it with detergent often. After cleaning, I only shake the water away by folding it up and holding on to the bridge with the temples close to my palm. This way I can avoid rubbing the lenses and keep them in good quality.
Pros: good optical quality, comfortable on the eyes, light weight
Cons: touching cheek, come with a sunglass bag no casing included in the box...

Incredibly comfortable and superb optically, but be careful!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on September 11, 2011
Have owned many Serengeti products, but these are likely the best so far. Can't say enough about the quality of the frame, optics, and overall design. However, the lenses are very easy to scratch, and even the slightest impact with a rough surface may be damaging. Very good price at Optics Planet - much less expensive than elsewhere.
Pros: Very light, phenomenally comfortable frame, excellent image quality
Cons: Polycarbonate lens scratches easily...

Save may EYE(s) Literally!!!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on August 6, 2011
Their ANSI rating prevented a nice size stone slung from the lawnmower from causing what a I am almost certainly would have been eye loss (near dead center impact). Nicked my lens but I CANNOT complain. Replacement cost about $65.00. Their worth every penny for looks, styling and just wearing on sunny day while doing lawn work. ; ) Own two different styles.

P.S. Great protection for duty and the range also!
Pros: Clarity, Great Style, Cormfortable, Lightweight, Durable.
Cons: None...
