Keeps the mags full

Bought this to reload 25rnd Ruger clips for my wife's 10/22. I like that it saves alot of time and I do recommend this re-loader as it does it's job, but given the construction is all plastic, sometimes it does not like to insert the bullets into the mag and causes my bullets to double feed and I have to remove the mag and let the extra bullet fall back into my ammo can, reinsert mag and continue...
Pros: essentially simple and quick to use
Cons: sometimes bullets double feed...

Shooters Ridge Ruger 10/22 Magazine Loader

I do a lot of shooting with my Ruger 10/22s, and after awhile my thumbs take a beating from loading the magazines. I was reluctant in purchasing this loader after reading all the negative comments, but didn't over-look the positive comments. The first thing I did was read the instructions, and then I read them again before I even picked up the loader. With the paddle in the locked position, I pressed and held the magazine latch buttons and inserted my Ruger stock mags and Butler Creek Steel Lip mags in and out of the loader without any problems. Nexted I poured some rounds into the hopper and with a little shake or two, the rounds fell into place. Now it was time to see if it worked. A couple of turns and I had a full magazine. Not every turn seemed to load, but in all, it did very well. I did notice from trial and error that if you load the first round by hand into the mag, it seems to work better. This loader will NOT load mags connected to an Alangator TriMag. The connector will not allow the magazine to fully insert into the loader.
Pros: Saves the thumbs!...

Works OK Once You get the Hang of It

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on April 12, 2010
Touchy use. Needs to be held a certain way and after the magazine is full, you need to pull out the next bullet or two that tried to load. Then shake back up to clear the loader part before loading the next magazine. Sure keeps your hands clean and your fingers don't get tired. But you have to develop the touch in using it otherwise it doesn't work very well
Pros: Loads Ruger 10-22 magazines in less than a minute
Cons: Need to work with it. Must be held just so....
