Scope sightron clear scope

by Raymond Lott, from United States, GA Written on March 29, 2015
Great works good clear optics it shoots like it is suppose to with out all of haze or fog in lens it don't move all over the place and hard to bet the clear view of the scope. It is easy to adjust and accurate that means a lot for what I use this scope for it handles the shock of the gun I shoot it on...
Pros:
  • Greatly reduces frustration
Cons:
  • none... yet
Best Used for:
  • shooting

Less clarity and brightness than I expected.

by RK, from United States, NH Written on January 3, 2015
I also have the SIII 8-32x56 model as well and love that model optic, but the SII 36x definitely is nowhere near the clarity. The SII 36x has poor light transmission which constantly forces me to search around the eyepiece for optimal brightness in overcast conditions. In bright sun that scope brightness is reasonable. This along with extremely fine cross hairs makes this scope a frustrating optic to use. Another con is the fact there is not adequate focus adjustment to shoot clearly at 100 yds, so this scope is only adequate at 200+ yds. minimum. I got this scope on closeout so I didn't pay a lot of money for it, and as they say, I got what I payed for....

Sightron S-II 36x42mm Fixed Power Target Rifle Scope

by Nick, from United States, IL Written on December 15, 2014
This is an excellent scope for target shooting. The clarity is top notch and the tracking is spot on. The fine crosshairs are just what's needed for shot placement at long range. I will be buying another one!...
Pros:
  • Price, Brightness and Clarity
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Target/competition shooting

720 deg AO needlesly complicated and difficult to use properly

by Bobo, from United States, TX Written on December 2, 2014
I have owned several Sightron scopes, including this model. For the money they are OK and the tracking is probably the best feature. Glass is clear but not s bright as other scopes in this price range and the exit pupil is TINY.
The "twice around" 720deg adjustable objective DRIVES ME NUTS! There is no conceivable reason for it as it is not a microscope.
Their efforts would have been better spent on brighter glass....

Sightron S-II 36x42

by carpetbroker, from United States, WA Written on September 21, 2014
For the money this is a great scope. Not as clear as my Vortex PST, but a lot of scope.
Can't stand the 7.5 moa per revolution on the vertical adjustment. Good finish. A lot of
elevation on the vertical dial....
Best Used for:
  • Target shooting out to 500 yards

Sightron S-II 36x42mm BRD on my CZ LH LUX527 .223 cal.

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on May 16, 2012
Bought this scope for bench rest shooting my CZ LH LUX527 .223 cal. to 400 yards. Used the CZ 527 Picatinny rail mount with .825" rings to get clearance over the LUX rear sight. Shoots through the same hole at 50 yards, in the 2 inch bull at 100 yards, the 4 inch circle at 200 yards and the 8 inch circle at 300 yards on a windy day... I'm on paper at 400 yards and waiting for the wind to die down...

Good price, bought and got from OpticsPlanet after a couple of days with standard shipping.
Pros: This scope is great!
Cons: Owners Rifle Instruction Manual "Sighting In Your Gun" section is hard to understand because it is not specific to only this scope....

Sigtron provides their customers with great value in thier scopes. This is no exception. Performs extremely well in every aspect other than the brightness. Glass is clear and sharp. Adjustments are positve and tracks as good as anythig I have.
Pros: Price + great glass + perfect trcking + positive MOA adjustments
Cons: Not as "bright" as the pricer high-end scopes (like Leupold 35x)...
