Great Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, KY Written on February 15, 2010
Overall this scope is probably the best scope under $300 that I own. It lacks some features of the upper crust of scopes (no resettable target knobs, no fast focus eyepiece, no parallax adjustment), but everything it does it does extremely well. The mil-dots are true to size at 9x, and the clicks are dead nuts on for corrections. The scope comes with an advertised 70 MOA of elevation (not bad for a 1" tube), but mine actually had 112 MOA of elevation. I have it on a remington 700P, and it can shoot the box at 200 yards and come back to zero no problem. Sightron's exactrack system works great, and as far as less expensive scopes go it's one of the main features that make this scope a good one. Dial it in, hit the target, no problem. I'd like to see some resettable knobs on it, but for my purpose I just mark the zero with a paint marker and count clicks up from there. This scope gets out to 1100 yards before it runs out of elevation. 9x power at 1100 yards is a little weak, but out to 800 yds or so it's a great magnification.

To summarize: Not a lot of features, but the ones it has are rock solid and done right.

If your budget is asking you for a scope under $300, this is a great one to buy. Head and shoulders above Bushnell, Burris, Tasco, or even Nikon offerings in the <$300 price range.
Pros: Everything works, scope is repeatable, lots of elevation
Cons: Lacks some features high dollar scopes...

Sightron is a great scope

I am very pleased with this scope and you can't beat the warranty from sightron. I have this scope on 3 muzzleloaders and they take the abuse without a problem. The clarity is very good as well. This scope is an excellent value in my opinion.
Pros: Great glass, holds zero, precise adjustments
Cons: eye relief is a little short for my taste....

This scope is a real winner, better than some more expense scopes! It is clear all the way out to the edge's. Holds zero day in and out, and the tracking is exact.
Pros: Very good looking scope
Cons: none...
