I've had two Sightron Big Sky SIIB3942ST rifle scopes for three years now. One is mounted on a slug gun and the other is on a regular rifle that see year round service. Both guns are fairly heavy recoiling firearms. I shot the life out of one rifle barrel while this scope was mounted and am working with a new barrel but the scope has never been phased by it all and has never needed any attention other than cleaning the lenses. These scopes have optics and adjustments at least as good as some other scopes I have that cost nearly twice as much. They are one heck of a value. The adjustments are just what you would want-precise and predictable. The adjustment clicks of the finger tip adjustable turrets have good tactile feel and the resettable zero feature helps reduce confusion if I need to dial in any windage adjustments while shooting. The eye relief is consistent throughout the power range so your head stays in the same place on the stock regardless of whether you are using 3 or 9 power. If I could wish for any change it would be for just a little more distance between the objective and ocular bells so as to make installing them a little easier in terms of optimal eye relief. Both firearms are long action length and there is not much room for fore and aft adjustment in the rings to get the most comfortable eye relief but fortunately it has not been a problem for me. I highly recommend these scopes and like them so much that I recently bought a third on for another project.
