Once again, a Simmons right out of the box that just plain works. As is the case with other Simmons Master Series scopes it's quite attractive. My only complaint is the overall size (11") considering it's listed as a "shotgun scope". In fact, when laid side-by-side with my Simmons Prohunter 2-7X32, one can't tell the difference except for the markings. I do like the fact that the fast focus eyepiece is firm. Once you focus it for your eye it will stay there. The eye relief is excellent....my boys and I measured it several times and came up with 4.0-4.25", although 5.5" is possible with a reduced sight picture. Images are bright, clear and crisp. The diamond reticle is thick, but not overly so, and is easy to lay on target. Zero was accomplished in only 7 rounds thanks to accurate elevation and windage adjustments. Mounted on a Marlin 336 in 30-30 Winchester, it dialed in 2" groups at 100 yards, despite a parallax setting of 50 yards. I'll take that any day from my carbines, shotgun scope or otherwise! Simmons scopes get a bad rap, I know. However, I own three of the Master Series in 3-9X40, 2-7X32 and now in 1.5-5x32, and they JUST PLAIN WORK.
Pros: Appearance, fast focus eyepiece, eye relief
