Smith and Wesson handcuffs

by Blackhawk down, from United States, CA Written on July 30, 2014
Well made handcuffs that operate smoothly. They are made to work on small to large wrists and will adjust automatically. The links are well made and appear to be much stronger than other cuffs that I have purchased. The construction is of very good quality and should last a lifetime. This is a better design for use than the single chain type handcuffs and allow greater control over the suspect as well as greater security since there is no easy way for them to reach the key hole once cuffed....

SMITH & WESSON OVERSIZED HINGED CUFFS

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on October 25, 2012
I've used these cuffs almost exclusively since receiving them. I've noticed inmates cuffed with them are much more compliant and tend to resist less due to the restricted movement. As with all hinged cuffs, getting them on to begin with is more difficult than with chain cuffs. With practice, however, you'll be moving just as quickly with these as you have with your chain cuffs.
Hinged cuffs applied with the key holes facing up are virtually pick proof (unless you're dealing with a rubberband man).

Pros: These cuffs fit just about everyone and make it difficult to wiggle out of or pick.
Cons: Finding a cuff case to fit them has been difficult....
