I bought this cabinet in conjunction with the Stack-On Pistol/Ammo Steel Cabinet. I keep ammo and pistols in the smaller cabinet and ammo and rifles in this larger 8 rifle cabinet. The Remington 700 just fits because it's so long and the Ruger 10/22 just barely reaches the barrel rack to give you a sense of where the barrel rack is positioned. I'll also add that the utility of the barrel rack is only just okay. The rifles, especially those with scopes have to be angled a bit to fit in the cabinet neatly. The other aspect to know about this cabinet is that you should expect that you'll need to anchor it into something to keep it secure; it's definitely tipsy. Mine is set up in the basement and rather than secure it to the cement walls I ran two lines at angle from the top of the cabinet to the floor joists above so that it won't tip over. All-in-all I like the cabinet and have no problem recommending as long as you understand the limitations identified here.
Pros: Quality made product that looks good; it's an excellent value.
Cons: The unit is tipsy; barrel rack is a little on the cheap side. ...
