This scope has met every expectation I had in terms of build and performance, and there is nothing better available in this aperture range, regardless of price; usability is a different story, in the sense that its weight is at the upper-end of what an individual can confortably lift onto a mount.
The only other minor issue is, there being the only one currently in existence, Stellarvue isn't putting one-off projects like the dedicated field flattern for it, on the front burner.
Consequently, I had to purchase an expensive LZOS field flattener for use with my large format CCD. But that's a nit overall, as the proposed Stellarvue price would've only been a few hundred dollars less than what I paid for the matched LZOS version.
Bottom-line, was it worth the multi-year wait and the price that I paid for it...I think so, and that's what counts.
Pros: Performance, construction, FT3545 focuser
