I have been using the Stoney Point bipod and got to try the tripod to shoot from. I immediately ordered the extra leg tripod kit. It was easy to modify my bipod and it works great! Stoney Point is a great product and very sturdy. The adjustments are easy to make. I also use as a walking stick and transform to tripod easily. These are very light to carry.

There were actually no instructions as to how to attach this leg to an existing bipod. Had to call Stoneypoint.

It makes a nice walking stick for climbing hills. It really steadys up the bipod when needed or can be easily detached. Looks like it will also function as a camera monopod, but I have not tried it that way yet. Worked well on my last Colorado Elk trip

I connected this to my quick release PoleCat bipod. I liked the fact that you had the option to extend the third leg for a more secure base, or simply use the bipod.

Pros: Adds some nice stability, quality workmanship
Cons: Design has a little "give" if too much weight is put on it

This is a very nice addition to your PoleCat Bipod. I got it to give some added stability to the already nice bipod - which it does. I purchased it for use when hunting on public ground here in Iowa (where I don't have a fixed stand, just a chair and this guy.) It seems to fit the bill really nicely. I haven't officially hunted with it yet, but I have shot off it with my slug gun at the range. It was very helpful (almost like shooting from a bench) and I can see it will be very valuable when hunting this fall/winter.
My only "complaint" (not really much of one) is that I have noticed that when on flat/smooth surfaces (like rock or cement) that the tripod leg can "slip" a bit. The fact that it mounts on a 180 degree pivot v. the bipod legs that lock in place at a ~90 degree angle is the reason. It's really not a big problem - especially if you get that third leg sort of "dug in" at the ground (buried a bit in the dirt). If there were any way to make this all one unit (pivoting ...
