Pros:  Knob fits the hand
Cons:  Compass is not reliable and cheap.

For just a couple of dollars more than a plain wooden knob the addition of a liquid filled compass adds a practical, useful benefit when the monopod is used as a hiking staff. I always like to have a compass handy in the outdoors and this is about as handy as it gets!
