Too Bright

by ET, from United States, NY Written on December 14, 2014
Imagine that. The ProTac HL3 is actually too bright on "high" for interior work, but as advertised, you'll blind anyone you catch in the beam. Make sure you pay attention so you don't blind yourself in the process. As for outdoors, you will find no better. It is small enough that I carry the light with me both on and off duty, in jeans or in a suit. It has become indispensable part of my every day carry gear....

Very nice light

by James Whalen, from United States, AL Written on December 9, 2014
I love this light, it is extremely bright at 1100 lumens! I love the ability to program the switch! The only draw back is the light head is big so it will not slip right in your pocket. They do provide a holder to go on the belt but I have too many things on my belt now as it is....

Streamlight HL 3

by Matt A, from United States, FL Written on October 31, 2014
I use this as a weapons light on my M4 and I mounted it just above the vertical grip. What a great rugged light! The button switch allows for me to activate the light in all of the modes with my thumb. Although just a little longer than the HL pro 600 lumen light this one is twice as bright. I recommend this for anyone looking for blinding light. The only con I have found is the operating time at 1100 lumens. Other than that, great light for the price....

Great Light for the money

by moduckgal, from United States, MO Written on October 10, 2014
I bought this light for night time Kayaking on the Missouri River. I got to use it for a 23 mile paddle the other night. This light was everything I had hoped for. I was able to see the reflective navigation markers for what seemed like a mile down river. Streamlight you again have done it with this compact version 1100 lumen light. It is not bulky and I had no problem with keeping up with it in my Kayak.
Optics Planet you were great at getting it shipped to me in a timely manner and I was able to have it for the paddle. Thank you...

Made in China

by dizzy113, from United States, VT Written on September 10, 2014
This product arrived not working. after a call to customer service they said it was probably the batteries. Three new batteries at $25.00 later and the flashlight still did not work. So after a trip to the post office to pick it up, then a trip to the hardware store for batteries, another trip back to the post office to return it.My time is worthless....

Gets too hot to handle after a short time. SKIP THIS ONE!

by Heath, from United States, VA Written on September 4, 2014
It is a bright light but it gets too HOT TO HANDLE!! After a few minutes it is so hot that it will burn your hand. I am scared to leave it around the house because I am worried that my kid will find it and hurt himself. I contacted Streamlight about the issue and said something must be wrong for light to burn your hand when used as intended. A Streamlight customer service rep advised me to "run it on the low setting." Duh! The issue is that when used as intended on the regular setting the body of the light will BURN YOU. SKIP THIS ONE!...

Streamlight Products

This is the 4th Streamlight Flashlight I have purchased from OPtics Planet. I'm satified that all meet my needs for homw and auto. I have one in each of our autos for emergencies. We sometimes carry on for self defense. We keep one in our emergency preparedness kit. I'll likely buy more in the future as Streamlight adds more powerful flashlights....

The Best Hands Down

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on March 31, 2014
Get over the shock of the sticker price an you will have yourself the best available compact flashlight on the market. 1100 LUMENS is headlight-on-your-car-bright. I have multiple D-sized flashlights that are three times larger that aren't this bright. A must for the avid outdoorsman.
Pros: Brightest, most compact technology available today
Cons: Expensive...

Latest and greatest from Streamlight.

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 24, 2014
Excellent flashlight! I absolutely love everything about it except the size. It's a little too long and the reflector diameter is too big to fit in an average pants pocket. If you're going to carry it in your tactical pants with wide and deep pockets or deep jacket pocket, then it should be ok, otherwise it kind of sticking out about an inch or so from the pocket and the reflector part looks like a big bump on the leg. Other than that - a beautiful thing to have. Lots of thanks to Streamlight and also a huge thank you to OpticsPlanet for making it available to public way before other retailers. Some will have it available in mid May... yeah, long time to wait.
Pros: Extremely bright, long lasting, compact size.
Cons: A little bit too big for a pocket. ...
