9 Volt Surefire Tactical Forend

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on April 28, 2008
This forend was easy to install and is very bright. It functions very well and has never failed. It is a little expensive, but well worth the money compared to the 6 volt systems. I own both and would recommend the 9 volt.
Pros: Bright light and very durable
Cons: A little on the expensive side...
Would recommend: Yes

Shine your target with ease

The Surefire foreend for the Remington 870 is well made and very bright, but can be difficult to install if you have a magazine extension. First, you will need to remove the rotating sling pin from the brace that supports the barrel and the magazine tube because the light bumps into the rotating sling pin. You may also need a bigger 870 key than is provided with the light in order to change the foreend. But once it is installed, it works great. You should be aware, however, that the light does add a noticeable amount of weight to the weapon.
Pros: Well made and bright
Cons: Can be very difficult to install...
