Day after purchased, made entry into house with barricaded subject. Light on shield so dim that I used my surefire light and the guys behind me could actually see in each room that was cleared. EVERY COP SHOULD HAVE ONE WHILE ON DUTY. perfect for off duty when hear noise outside. quick on feature is easy to use and not having to push down like the others.

I definitely recommend this light. I Have it on a picatinny rail on my mk-23 but it can easily be removed and placed on another weapon.

I mounted this on my police duty use Glock 22. I have been researching lights for a while now. After receiving this light and using it a few times I am quite impressed with the brightness and ease of use.

I love this light and I love the price I bought it for. I chose this light because I use a Beretta and Surefire has a pistol grip switch which allows me to use the light without moving my index finger. Thank you Optics Planet.
When in the market for a rail mounted tac light this is the way to go..

Pros: Incredibly bright(don't let the small package fool you), sits parallel with the bottom of my Glock20's trigger guard, very compact, lightweight, shock resistant even when putting hot 10mm loads down range, turn-key install with the standard gen 3 Glock sight rail(it even comes with a sightrail to install if your particular piece doesn't have one), the on/off switch is set up so that it can't be accidently turned on while holstered or stored.
Cons: Even on my full-size Glock 20 the light extends a good half inch beyond the muzzle. Fortunately my safepacker holster had enough extra room to allow for this. The price is STEEP(but worth it in my opinion).
Would recommend: yes

If a light is what you're looking for, you can't go wrong with a Surefire. Being prior military therefore already familiar with the name, I knew the quality that Surefire incorporates into their products. The only drawback to this light is that it's quite a bit longer than it's competitors--meaning that it does extend considerably further beyond the barrel than, for example, the tlr-1. Given that I carry a full size frame Glock this isn't much of an issue.

I have the X300 attached to my Nighthawk Custom 1911 (my home defense weapon). I have taken the Nighthawk and the X300 to many handgun training courses, some of which included night shooting. The light functioned flawlessly and shown brightly. It's very rugged, reliable, and tough. The ambidextrous on/off lever (flip the left lever down == right lever flips up ===light turns on OR flip right lever down == left lever flips down === light turns on, etc.) at the back of the light makes it very easy to use for both hands. I would highly recommend use of the X300 for tactical or HD handguns as the need to clearly identify targets to avoid shooting the wrong targets, or even having the ability to stun threats is very useful.

This light is great for lighting up targets in a tactical situation. However I have noticed a few times that the light will flash when a round is fired (HK45), and its expensive, but its the best light around.

This is a good solid light. It has a couple of attachment options but comes with all of the parts needed for either a hand-removable or tool removable attachment to either a universal or picatinny rail. It can be a little distracting when you feel the switch when moving your trigger finger to the trigger from an index position. A bit of practice takes care of that.

Bright light with good controls. Can flip the switch to turn on or you can push the switch in a little for momentary lighting. Had a really difficult time getting the light mounted onto a Daniel Defense rail. Scraped up my hand pretty good. I don't think it'll be moving anytime though.
