I've had the Swift 820ED binoculars for more than a year. I bird in South Florida, in conditions ranging from brilliantly bright beaches to well-shaded canopy. I have compared these binoculars to several other brands and models, and never wished for anything else. I was out birding Scrub Jays this morning. From near and far, against a bright sky, I always got an excellent view. I use a harness, and got some camera lens-cap keepers for the eyepiece covers (which I secured to the caps with instant glue, as the supplied double-stick tape softens and lets go in Florida heat) so I can pop them on and off. I usually leave the objective lens covers in the case.
