I would absolutely and whole-heartedly recommend these binoculars, except for one small but critical weakness - the rivets that hold the neckstrap to the glasses. These broke off after only a few months of use, and did so suddenly, dropping my glasses on hard ground and distorting the alignment of the lenses to the point that the bins are now useless. I've submitted a request for repair/replacement, as they are supposedly covered by a 25 year warranty. We'll see what happens.

I love Swift binoculars and my last pair lasted >15 years. I am an ornithologist and I use my binocs every day. I used this pair to study shorebirds and I was initially very impressed but within 2 weeks the pin that attaches the neck strap fell out, dumping the binocs into the sand. I tried to get it fixed locally and they said the hole was stripped. When I contacted the company they just referred me to a place where I could get it fixed. I heard that they have not fixed the flaw.
