Good product at a good price!

by Ed, from United States, PA Written on November 2, 2014
Sure, I have to still acquire tactical insert plates to create a vest for everyday wear but with what I saved on the carrier I should be able to go all the way to a Level IV protection for less than what a Level II would have cost me at a local dealer. My only complaint is that there should have been a picture showing the collar, which is in fact removable, sitting beside the vest it would have saved several phone calls and e-mails to find out what seemed to be implied in the description. Please show more options, configurations and applications in your photos. Electronic photos are cheaper than paying someone to answer a rather simple question, which in the end had to be answered by Tacprogear through your representative.
I do high end security work in a professional enviroment running a crew of up to thirty operators and this appears to be a solution that will work in a rather unique set of circumstances. I believe I will be aquiring more units....

Cant be a plate carrier without pockets for plates

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, FL Written on January 19, 2014
the rear plate pocket goes all the way down to the bottom of the vest, the plate slides in from the top which means you would need a 17 inch plate for it ride at proper shoulder height. the front plate pocket goes down about 6 inches and stops at the cumber bun, you can fit soft armor in it ok but no Velcro inside to hold your soft armor in place, optional quick release my a$$ the cumber bun is permanently attached in the rear and no quick release, I should of sent mine back but I went to town on it with a pair of scissors and a sewing machine, I have it somewhat useable but not really happy with it. there was not many reviews when I got it the vest is way over priced for what it is and it is a piece of $hit. I hope this helps you out.
Pros: it was green
Cons: not what the description said it was ...
